In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, as much as He Pleases and as befits His Majesty. We testify that none deserves to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad SAW is His servant and Messenger. We ask Allah to bestow His Salutations and Peace upon His Messenger SAW, his household, companions and the entire Ummah as long as winds come before rains and thunder comes after lightening. We begin by first asking Allah, SWA, to Forgive us our sins and the sins of the entire Muslim Ummah and also the sins of those who preceded us in the journey to the hereafter. Moving straight to our discussion for this session we shall pose the question which is also the topic of our discussion: Is Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness) beneficial without Tawbah (repentance)?
