In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious and the most Merciful The best of Praises and Thanks belongs to Allah, the Lord of all that has been created, all that is being created, all that will created and all that was not created were they to be created. He is the Most High and Praised shall He remain in all situations. He is the Possessor of great bounties and the Owner of unfathomable wisdom. In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, as much as He Pleases and as befits His Majesty. We testify that none deserves to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad SAW is His servant and Messenger. We ask Allah to bestow His Salutations and Peace upon His Messenger SAW, his household, companions and the entire Ummah as long as winds come before rains and thunder comes after lightening. We begin by first asking Allah, SWA, to Forgive us our sins and the sins of the entire Muslim Ummah and also the sins of those who preceded us in the journey to the hereafter.  Moving straight to our discussion for this session we shall pose the question which is also the topic of our discussion: Is Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness) beneficial without Tawbah (repentance)? In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful The Best of Praises belong to Allah. The Best Praises belong to Allah, the Originator of the Universe and the Forgiver of the sins of the most evil person if he seeks His forgiveness. We praise Him, we seek His Help and we seek His Forgiveness. We seek His protection from the evil of ourselves and our wrong doings. He whom Allah guides, no one can lead astray and he whom Allah misguides, no one can grant guidance. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad SAW is his servant and Messenger.
